We recently completed a project to completely strip back and carefully clean very old oak beams and posts at Chalford Manor.

The Fineblast team were recently at the beautiful Chalford Manor near Chinnor, Oxfordshire to restore all of the very old oak beams to their original condition.

The beams and posts has been heavily and repeatedly painted over the years, so there was a lot of stripping to do whilst we also had to be mindful of the soft, delicate surface underneath.

Blasting is the fastest, cleanest, greenest and highest quality way to clean or strip paint from any wooden object, including antique items.

We use walnut shell to blast soft and delicate wood, or soda to remove tougher coatings and for general hard wood. As well as choosing the blasting solution to suit the surface, we can also adjust the pressure as we work, ensuring the most suitable cleaning process at all times.

Our dustless process means we can work inside and outside with minimal mess and disruption, and when you have complex wooden structures we can provide 100% surface cleaning in a fraction of the time normally required.

If you have any wooden structure that needs to be stripped back or cleaned, call our team or use our contact form and we'll be happy to give you a competitive quote on all kinds of interior and exterior cleaning.
